A pre-approval letter is important to have before you even start looking at houses. It never hurts to have the pre-approval letter in your back pocket should you need it… but if you DON’T already have that duck in a row and you find the right house, it can take several days to get your pre-approval letter and by then the right house might be long gone to someone else who was better prepared. The DiMora Team are real estate experts in the Novi and Northville neighborhoods and we know that this letter lets us know that you are a serious buyer. Not that there’s anything wrong at all with looking – but most agents are going to want to know that you at least have a true intent to purchase at some point… and the last thing you want to do is look at $300,000 homes and then have the mortgage lender say you can only get $250,000… then everybody’s just wasted a good amount of time looking at the wrong properties. If you have an agent that exclusively represents you, they will generally be more willing to make those little trips out to see a house on a whim because they’ll feel comfortable that even if you don’t buy that particular home, whatever you do buy, will be with them.
