Northville Commons Real Estate Sales Report in May 2016

While many assume tornadoes happen only in certain places, the truth is that they’ve been documented in every state and country with the U.S. topping the list on tornado counts and most of them are nearly impossible to predict.  The DiMora Team are real estate experts in the Northville and Novi neighborhoods and here are a few rules of thumb to follow if you are unfortunate to be caught in the middle of one.  If you’re home when a tornado arrives, stay thereShelter is your best protection from getting pummeled by debris, or swept up yourself.  But just because you’re home doesn’t mean you’re in the clear.   Do not open your windows.  Opening them just lets the tornado in to wreak more havoc.  And windows will shatter if the gusts are strong enough.  So just stay away from them entirely.  The safest room in your home is your basement, and if you don’t have one, head to the lowest floor possible and find a small interior room without windows, such as a closet, bathroom, hallway or under the stairs.  Once the tornado is over, exit your home as soon as possible.  Check out below to see what sold in Northville Commons in May 2016:

Be sure to stay out of any heavily damaged houses or building since they could collapse at any time.  While tornado damage is devastating, at the very least you can rejoice that your home kept you safe this far.  For more information on Northville Commons, or similar Northville or Novi neighborhoods such as Royal Crown, Maple Hill and Dunbarton Pines, contact The DiMora Team today at 248-505-7728 or jim@dimora.com.
